A key aspect of digital fleet management is condition monitoring, which enables the evaluation of predefined data points and the tracking of error messages. At Magirus, maintenance cycles are no longer predetermined but are dynamically planned based on operating hours. A standout feature in FleetConnect is the alarm system. Vehicle-internal error messages are transmitted via the cloud to an alerting engine, which triggers an alarm when necessary. This alarm is displayed on the dashboard and automatically sends a notification. Another advantage: Service and maintenance appointments for fire trucks can now be scheduled directly via the online portal. Additionally, reports can be generated with a simple click on the IoT-based platform.
