Simplifying industrial data integration – enabled by low-code & AI

Munich / Augsburg – The digital industry in Augsburg is growing closer together: KUKA Digital, the new business unit of the globally leading automation group KUKA, and software provider soffico are launching a strategic partnership to jointly drive forward innovative solutions for the seamless digitalization of industry

Stefan Hübner (CEO, KUKA Digital / Device Insight) and Rica Holzmann (CEO, soffico) aim to make data flows manageable in order to drive industrial digitalization.

KUKA Digital and soffico unite data expertise for the Data-Driven Factory

KUKA Digital brings together the expertise of established providers in the fields of software and industrial data analysis – and is thus shaping the transition to intelligently networked production. As part of this unit, Munich-based IoT and analytics specialist Device Insight develops solutions for the data-driven factory – from smart machine monitoring to AI-supported process optimization.

KUKA and soffico are working together on data intelligence solutions that take transparency, efficiency, and innovation in manufacturing to a new level. An important aspect of this is simple, fast, and scalable data exchange and the integration of data via a central platform.

AI powers foresight and adaptability in industrial processes

“Connectivity is a key success factor for the scalable use of data and the realization of the data-driven factory. Together with KUKA Digital, we form a powerful team with exceptional expertise in end-to-end digitalization across the entire production lifecycle. Our customers benefit greatly from this,” says Rica Holzmann, Managing Director of soffico GmbH.

“The industry is under intense competitive pressure – efficiency potential can no longer be leveraged solely through traditional automation, but above all through a holistic view and AI-supported optimization of interlocking processes,” says Stefan Hübner, CEO of KUKA Digital subsidiary Device Insight. “Artificial intelligence opens up enormous possibilities for predictive and adaptive functions here.”

Orchestrating IT/OT data more easily

This is where Device Insight’s analytics and AI solutions come into their own. What has often failed in the past due to complexity and high integration costs can now be overcome with Soffico: as a master key in complex system landscapes, Soffico’s Orchestra integration platform opens the doors to the datadriven factory – while significantly reducing implementation costs for customers.

By using modern low-code and AI technologies in the user-friendly Orchestra integration platform, soffico enables the smooth orchestration of data from different sources in IT and OT. Together, KUKA Digital and soffico offer their customers a comprehensive portfolio. With Orchestra, data becomes easily and economically available to implement numerous use cases related to the Data Driven Factory and beyond
